    Description

    Indigenous Tlingit master carver, Amos Wallace (1920-2004), was a Raven of the T’akdeintaan Clan of Hoonah in Southeast Alaska. He carved totems and large wall-plaques for a number of individuals, parks, and organizations during his life.
    Amos received the Governor’s Award in 1970, the highest award given by the state to community members and artists. In 1988, the Juneau Tlingit-Haida Community Council named Amos a Living Cultural Treasure.
    These heavy composite castings from the 60’s weigh almost 10lbs combined. They are in great vintage condition, with a few scuffs and minor chips at base.
